"Jericho Gate": A Safer Community with the Opening of a Police Station
"Watan": With the growing population of the Jericho Gate project and the increasing number of inhabited villas, the police force, in collaboration with Jericho Gate Company, has inaugurated a police station within the project to enhance the safety and security of its residents and their properties.
“Halileh”: 1,000 Villas Currently Inhabited in Jericho Gate, with a Total Population Reaching 5,000 Residents.
Samir Halileh, Chairman of Jericho Gate, stated that approximately 1,300 villas exist within the Jericho Gate project, with 1,000 of them currently inhabited, housing between 4,000 and 5,000 residents. Given the lack of a dedicated police presence, a police station was inaugurated within the project to enhance safety and security.
He added that the project is currently 45% occupied, with the population expected to reach around 11,000 residents. Therefore, having a police station within the community is of great importance.
“Halileh”: The Project Employs 3,000 Workers and 62 Real Estate Developers**
Regarding the investment and economic significance of the project, Samir Halileh emphasized that the Jericho Gate project attracts 11,000 residents from outside the city of Jericho, 40% of whom are Palestinian citizens of Israel, while the rest come from other governorates in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. The project also provides employment for 3,000 workers and involves 62 developers. It is considered a central project in the Jericho and Jordan Valley region, and we believe it will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.
“Police”: The Opening of the Police Station is the Result of Cooperation Between Jericho Gate Management and the Police Force
Colonel Saleh Atatrah, Director of the Jericho Gate Police Station, told Watan that the opening of the station is the result of successful collaboration between the management of Jericho Gate and the police force. He added, "This is a historic day for providing police services in Jericho Gate, a community distinguished by its diverse and harmonious population from multiple regions."
The Jericho Gate project is one of the largest real estate developments in Palestine, supporting economic, investment, and sustainable sectors. Additionally, its strategic location in the historic and tourist city of Jericho enhances its significance, as it attracts a diverse population including residents from the occupied interior and other West Bank governorates, including occupied Jerusalem.
